From Pastor Jennifer
I traveled to Ohio to participate in the Amy Lecture held at Church of the Master United Methodist (my childhood church) in Westerville, Ohio. Our speaker this year was Eboo Patel, founder and president of the InterFaith Youth Core. Two days before, we received word that our partner organization in bringing Eboo, Otterbein University in Westerville, was closing down campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and cancelling some of their events with him. In consultation with Eboo's office, we did go ahead with the lecture, urging social distancing and providing lots of sanitizer. Eboo adapted his presentation to address leadership in a time of crisis, drawing from the wisdom of various faith traditions, and addressing the lessons of interfaith work as they apply in this current situation. Despite the poor quality at the beginning of the lecture (we neglected to turn on the microphone!), I think you will find his talk highly relevant and encouraging. - Pastor Jennifer
